Please endeavor to be on time so that you don’t hold up the group tour!\n \n \n \nTour will last approximately 90 minutes. Please make sure you are dressed comfortably for a walking tour (comfortable shoes, sunscreen, etc.).\n \n \n \nTour description: \n \nEveryone knows that L.A. is a glamorous city. But few know that true Old Hollywood glamour lies in the streets of downtown L.A.! Nothing evokes Jazz Age elegance like Art Deco. Its clean lines and geometric patterns proved a perfect style for L.A. in the ‘20s and ‘30s, and an extraordinary collection of these masterpieces still stands in the heart of the city. On this tour, you’ll marvel at the incredible detail of these structures, with their brilliant colors and lush materials. You’ll learn how Art Deco made its way to L.A., and why it became such a defining architectural style in the city.\n \n \n \nParking:\n \nPershing Square underground parking or Metro to Pershing Square station\n \n \n \nRSVP:\n \nThe event can accommodate a maximum total of 50 people. Please RSVP promptly as reservations are first-come, first-served.\n \nYou may RSVP for yourself and one guest only, i.e. a maximum of two people. No booking a large group.\n \nPricing: LAEPC paid members $25, Non-members and all guests $40.\n \nPayment should be made online in advance, or by check made out to LAEPC and mailed to Sue Boling (include Sue mailing address) no later than May 18.
